Main Deity- About 30 inches high black coloured idol of Bhagawān Mahāvīra in the kāyōtsarga posture.

History- This temple is said to belong to the Hoysala's period and was constructed during the 12th century AD.  Along with the idol of Bhagawān Mahāvīra we can find the idols of Goddess Padmāvathi, choubis and many small metal idols.
 
 
How to Reach - Hongere is a small village situated in the Hāssan District. It is at a distance of 18 Kms from Hāssan and 5 Kms from Shānthigrāma. Bus facilities are available to Hongere from both these places. On reaching Shānthigrāma, just before entering the village one will have to take a right turn to reach Hongere.

Nearest Airport – Bengaluru International Airport, at a distance of 210 Kms.
