Kanandi (Devariya District, Uttar Pradesh), May 15, 2010: The panchakalyana pratishta mahotsava of the newly constructed temple of Lord Pushpadantha the ninth Tirthankara will be held from June 17-21, 2010. Ganani Pramukh Aryika 105 Sri Gnanamathi Mathaji has taken up a project of developing all the birth places of Tirthankaras titled ‘Tirthankara Janmabhoomi Vikas Project’. The temple is been constructed as a part of the project. Kanandi happens to be the birth place of Lord Pushpadanth. A 9 feet high idol of the Lord is being installed here as Pushpadantha happens to be the 9th Tirthankara. The temple constructed by Sri Rajkumar Jain and Smt Asha Jain consists of a huge temple with pinnacle and a kirthisthambha. The panchakalyana proceedings will be held in the holy presence of Kshullakh Sri Motisagarji Maharaj and under the guidance of Brahmachari Karmayogi Ravindrakumar Jain. – Jain Heritage Centres News Service
