MAHUVA(SURAT)

Main Deity-  about 4 feet high black color seven hooded idol of Bhagwan Parshwanatha.

History- The idol of Bhagwan Parshwanatha is very miraculous and people of all religions worship this idol offer fruits; vegetables and other items as a mark of faith. It is stated that the idol was recovered from village tulagaon  on seeing a dream about the location of the idol. The idol was brought to Mahua and installed in the Chandraprabha Digamabar Jain Mandir. This mandir was destroyed in fire and in floods in 1970 AD. The temple was then renovated and the other idols of Bhagawan Chandraprabha; Bhagwan Shantinatha; Bhagwan mahavir and other tirthanakaras were installed.

Guidance- This place is on the bank of river Purna and 15 kms from vardoli station of surat district. (there is a Swetambara tirth at mahua-Bhavnagar also). Bus service is available from Vardoli, Navsari and Surat.
