Dharegudde/Daregudde

    Dharegudde/Daregudde is located in the Mangalore taluk of Dakshina Kannada district.

    Main Deity – A white coloured idol of Tirthankar Ananthanath in Kayotsarga.

    History – The Digambar Jain temple at Dharegudde is called as “Kellaputtige Basadi”. The idol of Tirthankar Ananthanath which is the main deity at the temple was donated by His Holiness SwastiSri Dr.Devendrakeerthi Bhattarakha Swamiji of Hombuja Jain Math on 5th September 1949 and a Panchakalyana of the temple was held is the same year. The Silver Jubilee Celebrations of the temple was held on 14th January 1974 under the leadership of Dr.D.Veerendra Heggade of Dharmasthala. On 30th January 1977 the temples pooja post rennovation and inauguration of the lighting decoration was held under the presence of His Holiness SwastiSri Lalithakeerthi Bhattarakha Swamiji of Karkala Jain Math. A 3 days Dhamasamprokshana pooja of the temple was help from 6th – 8th March 1992 under the guidance of Dr.D.Veerendra Heggade of Dharmasthala.

    How to Reach – It is located at a distance of 51 Kms from Mangalore.
