Gulbarga

    History – Gulbarga was a great Jain city in ancient period. At present there is only one Digambar temple at Mahavir chowk and one Svetamabar temple in kirana bazaar. This place was a great Jain center in 9th century AD during the period of Rastrkut dynasty. The Museum on Sedam Road at Gulbarga has got rich collection of ancient Jain idols of 8 CAD to 11 CAD. The museum remains open from 8AM to 1PM.

    How to Reach – Gulbarga is 60 Kms from Humnabad and 584 Kms from Banglore. Good Boarding and lodging facilites are available in Gulbarga.

    Main Deity – Idol of Bhagawan Mahavir.
