    History – In Kalagatagi are found two temples one of which is called as the Dodda basadi and the other called as Chickka basadi.The Dodda basadi is an ancient one, here we can find a huge idol of Sri Shanthinatha Tirthankara in the padmasana posture.On the right and left of the idol of Shanthinatha are found two idols of bhagwan Parshwanatha.The Chickka basadi is a new one that is being built recently, here the main diety is Bhagwan Parshwanatha in the padmasana posture.There are villages arround Kalagatagi such as Tambura and Shigigatta show many Jaina inscriptions.

    How to Reach – Kalagatagi is about 25 Kms from Hubli. Good bus convenience is available from Hubli to Kalagatagi.

    Main Deity – A huge idol of Bhagwan Sri Shanthinatha in the padmasana posture.
