Maksi Parshwanath

    History – We can find two Jain temples at Maksi. One of these temples is being dedicated to Bhagawan Parshwanatha and the other is dedicated to Bhagawan Suparshwanatha. The idol of Bhagawan Parshwanatha is very old and is said to be miraculous. Here both the Digamabar and Swetamabar Jains perform puja according to their beliefs. The Digambara’s worship in the morning in between 6 and 9.

    How to reach – The temple is situated in the village kalyanpur, 3 Kms from  Maksi station and 38 kms from Ujjain and 72 kms from Indore. The boarding and lodging facilities are available in the Dharmashala at Maksi.

    Main Deity – Idol of Bhagwan Parshwanatha.
