Melkudalur

    History – Melkudalur a natural cave containing more than thirty-five stone berths. The central part of the cave has a raised platform which could very well have been occupied by a chief monk. A fine sculpture of Parsvanatha, executed in a ninth-century style, is seen on the northern side of the cave.
