Ratanpuri

    History – Ratanpuri once a big city has now become a small village by name Rohani. Its history dates back to the times of Bhagawan Dharmanatha. The four Kalyanas of Bhagawan Darmanatha namely garbhavatarana, birth, diksha and the attainmet of omniscience have taken place at Ratanpuri. We can find the foot prints of Bhagawan Dharmanatha in the Swetambara temple. People believe that on visiting this place they can fulfill their wishes. We can many Swetambara and two Digambara temples at Ratanpuri. The 10 inches idol of Bhagawan Parshwanatha at one of these temples is said to beof historical importance. There is a mention of Ratanpuri in the ‘Vividh Tirthkalpa’ written in the 14th century. people of this place call Bhagawan Parshwanatha as Dharmaraj.

    How to Reach – Ratanpuri is situated at a distance of two kilometers from Sohaval and 29 kilometers from Ayodhya along the Faizabad-Barabanki road.

    Main Deity – About 3 feet high white coloured idol of Bhagawan Dharmanatha in the Padmasana posture.
