Temple burgled in Thane

    Thane (Maharashtra), December 23, 2011: A Jain temple in the powerloom town of Bhiwandi near here was burgled and cash and valuables worth around Rs 1 lakh were looted, police said today. Burglars broke open the doors of the Vastu Pooja Jain Mandir at Kamathghar last night and looted it. Cash and valuables like a crown and a silver-made pot worth Rs 1 lakh were looted, they said. The robbery came to light this morning when the priest went to open the temple. – News Courtesy: PTI
