Two young boys become Jain monks

    Vapi (Valsad District, Gujarat), February 26, 2012: It was an emotional moment not only for the parents of two young boys, but also for over 2,000 people, who had gathered to witness their initiation into monkhood here on Sunday.

    Shreepal Desai (24) and Dhruvit Dasadia (14), who belong to well-to-do families, bid farewell to their parents after taking ‘diksha’ of Jain monk from Acharya Yasho Varma Maharaj Saheb.

    Shreepal was re-christened Soham Yash Vijayji Maharaj and Dhruvit as Arhham Yash Vijayji Maharaj. Acharya Yasho Varma Maharaj, Acharya Ajit Yash Maharaj and Acharya Ratnabhushan were among those who blessed the two young monks. – News Courtesy: Times of India
