Main Deity - about three feet high white coloured marble idol of Bhagawan Mahavira in the padmasana posture.History - The temple here was constructed during the 12th century period by the Hoysala's. The temple has a spacious navaranga and the garbagriha. The idol of Sahasrakuta (1008) Tirthankara's which is a very unique of its kind has been consecrated in the navaranga along with many small Jain idols. The white coloured marble idol of Lord Mahavira in padmasana in the garbagriha is very attractive. The temple was renovated recently in the early part of 1990's and the panchakalyanak was conducted under the guidance of His Holiness Parama Pujya Muni Sri 108 Shambhavanandi Maharaj. The carving of Devendra (Lord Indra) in the dancing posture on the ceiling of the entrance mantapa to the temple is very attractive.The Jain samaj at Adagūru with around 35 to 40 Jain families is very active and celebrate almost all the Jain festivals. Religious discourses are organised on all the 10 days during the Dashalakshana Parva. The activites of the Jain Milan branch at Adagūru affiliated to Bharatiya Jain Milan, Zone - 8 is worth noting.How to Reach - Adagūru is a small village situated midway between Hassan and Halebidu. It is at a distance of 15 kilometers from Hassan and 12 Kms from Halebidu the historical town. Good bus and other cab facilities are available from Hassan and Halebidu. The temple is located at around 200 meters from the main road.
Accommodation and Food - Good boarding and lodging facilities are available at the yatrinivas besides the temple. Besides this a muninivas has also been constructed for the Jaina scetics.Around Adagūru -
