Ancient Parswanath Tirthankar idol rescued by Jain Community

Bengaluru, Karnataka, 26th October 2020: An ancient idol of Tirthankar Parshwanath in kayotsarga posture kept in the middle of a muddy puddle with dirty water as a decorative piece at Filter Hookah Cafe, a cafe in between Ramanagar & Bidadi (Bangalore/Bengaluru). Sri Niranjan Jain Kudyadi a Jain activist from Dakshina Kannada district alerted the Jain community in this regard. Sri Harshendra Jain Mala a native of Dakshina Kannada district and a Jain activist based out of Bangalore was instrumental in getting this done with the help of other Jain activists. The idol has been shifted to the premises of Karnataka Jain Bhavan, Bangalore. Jain Heritage Centres appreciates the efforts of all involved in this mission. -Jain Heritage Centres News Service
