Aratipura – Aretippur Bahubali Swamy Mahamastakabhisheka on 3rd December 2017

    Aratipura / Aretippur (Mandya District, Karnataka), November 25, 2017: The Mahamasthakabhisheka Mahotsava of Lord Bahubali at Aratipura will be held on 3rd December 2017. The event has been organised under the Holy Guidance of His Holiness SwastiSri Charukeerthi Bhattarakha Swamiji, Shravanabelagola. Vichara Patta Kshullakha Sri Siddanthakeerthi Swamiji, Aretippur will be present and lead the proceedings.

    About Aratipura / Aretippur – An ancient Jain heritage centre with over 1200 years of history, ruled by the Gangas & Hoysalas. Has 2 hills Savanappana Gudda & Kanakagiri. 10 ft high Bahubali idol installed in 918 A.D. is found on the Savanappana Gudda. Remains of 12 Jain temples were found on Kanakagiri hill during the excavation work carried out by Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) in Oct – Nov 2015. Sri Adinath Digambar Jain temple has been constructed recently & Sri Sidanthakeerthi Swamiji has been stationed there by Sri Charukeerthi Swamiji of Shravanabelagola for reviving its inherent heritage.
