Muni 108 Sri Tarunsagarji Maharaj Passes Away at 51 in Delhi

    New Delhi, 1st September 2018: Jain monk Tarun Sagar, 51, passed away in east Delhi on Saturday after prolonged illness. He was suffering from jaundice and other ailments.
    The Jain Monk, who had a massive following, breated his last before dawn on Saturday. A large number of followers joined his funeral procession, which started from east Delhi and went to Tarunsangram in Uttar Pradesh’s Muradnagar, where his last rites were performed.
    He was born on June 26, 1967 in Damoh district of Madhya Pradesh. He took ‘Jain Sanyas’ at the age of 13 and later emerged as a prominent spiritual personality. He was widely known for his ‘Kadave Pravachan’ (bitter discourse).
    President Ram Nath Kovind, prime minister Narendra Modi and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, among others expressed condolences on his death.
    “Sad to hear of the passing of Jain Muni Shri Tarun Sagar Ji Maharaj. Known for his ‘Kadve Parvachan’, he spread the message of peace and non-violence in the society. Our country has lost a well-respected spiritual leader. My condolences to his followers,” President Kovind tweeted.
    “Deeply pained by the untimely demise of Muni Tarun Sagar Ji Maharaj. We will always remember him for his rich ideals, compassion and contribution to society. His noble teachings will continue inspiring people. My thoughts are with the Jain community and his countless disciples,” PM Modi tweeted.
    Kejriwal said the “teaching and ideals of Muni Tarun Sagar Ji Maharaj will always inspire humanity.”
    Amarchand Jain of Radhepuri Jain Mandir said Muni Tarun Sagar Ji Maharaj came to Radhepuri in east Delhi for ‘Chaturmas Parv’ in July and was hospitalised on August 15. “He was discharged on August 30 to the place in Radhepuri where he was staying during Chaturmas Parv,” he said. – News Courtesy: Times of India
