Parshwanath Idol handed over to Jain Samaj-Belgaum

    Belgaum (Karnataka), September 18, 2013: The ancient idol of Lord Parshwanath that was recovered underneath the groud at Hindalga village near Bauxite road (at around 12:30 pm on September 15, 2013) around 3.5 Kms from Belgaum city in Karnataka has been handed over to the Jain samaj by the district administration.

    The Jain Samaj took the idol to the premises of the ancient Kamala Basadi & conducted a pooja in the premises of the temple at around 11.30 am this morning (September 18, 2013). The Jain samaj plans to keep the idol at Kamala Basadi. – News & Image Courtesy: Abhay Avalakki
