Belgaum (Karnataka), January 2, 2013: The Jain Samaj of Belgaum has condemned the attack on Muni 108 Sri Prabhalasagarji Mahraj at Girnar. A meeting was convened in the premises of Bharatesh educational institutions, Belgaum and more than 100 members of the samaj attended the meeting.
A protest meet will be held in front of the district collectors office in Belgaum on January 4, 2013 & a memorandum will be submitted condemning the attack. Later in the day a delegation will meet the chief minister of Karnataka Sri Jagadish Shettar who is scheduled to visit Belgaum the same day. They will urge the chief minister to pressurise the Gujarat Government to take action against the miscreants & provide proper protection to Jain ascetics in Gujarat. -Jain Heritage Centres News Service
