Dharmasthala (Belathangady Taluk, Dakshina Kannada District, Karnataka), March 16, 2012: Swastisri Charukeerti Bhattaraka Pattacharyavarya Swamiji of Shravana Belagola Jain mutt dedicated ‘Shrutasamhita’ library set up at Sri Chandranatha Swami Basadi in Dharmasthala to the world, on the evening of Thursday march 15.

Delivering benedictory address thereafter, he advised people to cleanse their minds of evil thoughts so as to enable them to see for themselves through the inner eye the presence of the Almighty, who lives in their hearts.

“The relief you get in the presence of Lord is permanent, as compared to the one you get in courts, hospitals and offices. Knowledge is sublime. Knowledge is nothing but modifying our belief systems and practices, getting guidance towards the path of righteousness, and learning to practice the art of discernment. Knowledge is light. The present day education is oriented towards bagging employment. One should never overlook the benefits of the knowledge that has been handed down over traditionally,” he advised.

He informed that a function will be organized at Moodbidri soon to release 40 volumes of the work, ‘Dhavala Grantha’, and to hold a seminar by putting together 350 scholars.

Showering lavish praises on Dharmasthala administration, he said Ratnamma, like the mythological ‘Kamadhenu’, had gifted her four sons to the society. This temple town has grown by leaps and bounds, and has emerged as one of the most ideal centres of prayer in the world, he remarked, and wished that Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari, Dr D Veerendra Heggade, will be considered for Nobel prize.

On the occasion, certificates were issued to students who passed the examination in Ratnakarandaka Shravakacharya. Kshullaka Acharya 105 Sri Parshwanandi Maharaj, Hemavati V Heggde, D Harshendra Kumar, Supriya Harshendra Kumar, Dr B Yashovarma, and many others were present.

Earlier to the programme, the Swamiji was brought to Basadi from Heggade Beedu in a procession.
