Annual Pooja Mahotsava at Kuderu on 8th Jan 2012

    Kuderu (Chamarajanagar District, Karnataka), January 1, 2012: The annual pooja mahotsava of Sri Adinath Swamy Digambar Jain temple will be held on sunday January 8, 2012 under the guidance of His Holiness Swasti Sri Bhuvanakeerthi Bhattarakha Swamiji of the Kanakagiri Jain Mutt. Below is given a detailed schedule of the programmes –

    07.00 am – Agrodakanayana.
    08.00 am – Nithyavidhi Abhisheka.
    10.00 am – 108 Kalashas Maha Abhisheka to Lord Adinath.
    10.30 am – Bhaktamara Yantra Aradhana.
    01.00 am – Jeerondhara (renovation) Kalakarshana Vidhi.
    01:30 am – Maha Mangala Arathi.
    02:00 am – Lunch.

    Dharmika Sabha – Inauguration at 10.30 am  

    Free Health and Eye Checkup programme – From 10.00 am to 2.00 am in the premises of Govt. Primary School, Kuderu.

    About Kuderu – Kuderu is a village situated at a distance of 12 Kms from Chamarajanagar and 50 Kms from Mysore. The Adinatha temple at Kuderu belongs to the 10th century A.D. and has a 6 feet high stone idol of Lord Adinath as the main deity. We can also find the an ancient idol of Kudure (horse) Brahma Yaksha. It can be reached from Mysore through T.Narasipura, Santhemarahalli route.
