Asuriya – Samavasarana Tirth

    History : Bharuch region happens to be the place of Samavasarana (Samavasarana Bhoomi) of Lord Ajithanath, Chandraprabhu and Munisuvratanath Tirthankars. This Tirth has been set up in memory of this.

    How to Reach : The tirth is located near Asuriya village besides the national highway 8 (NH8) while travelling from Bharuch to Vadodara. It is a distance of 19 Kms from Bharuch and 66 Kms from Vadodara.

    Accommodation Details: The dharmashala is found behind the temple and houses 5 rooms, with western toilets and A/C rooms.

    Temple History : Bhagawan Munisuvratanath Samavasarana Tirth, Asuria, Bharuch has been developed by the Digambar Jain Samaj of Bharuch under the guidance of Yuva Santh Muni 108 Sri Pragnasagarji Maharaj, a disciple of Acharya 108 Sri Pushpadanthsagarji Maharaj. The panchakalyana of the tirth was held from 8th – 12th Feb 2014 and the idol was installed on 12th Feb 2014.     The tirth has about an acre of land in front of the temple and the temple has 3 storeys. The ground floor has a centrally located scanctum sanctorum with about 4 feet high idols of Lord Ajithanath, Chandraprabhu, Munisuvratanath and Parshwanath Tirthankars on all the 4 sides. The 1st floor houses the shikhara/pinnacle. The 2nd floor houses the Samavasarana with about 2.5 feet high 4 idols of Lord Munisuvarata facing 4 different directions enclosing the pinnacle that extends to this floor.
