Bidgalu

    Bidgalu is a village in the H.D.Kote Taluk of Mysuru/Mysore District.

    Main Deity – A marble idol of Tirthankar Shanthinth in Kayotsarga.

    Temple Details – Bidgalu houses a Digambar Jain temple dedicated to Tirthankar Shanthinath as the main deity. The temple has a wide hall followed by the Garbagriha/Sanctum Sanctorum. In addition to the idol of Tirthankar Shanthinath we can also find the idols of Nandishwara, Pancha Parameshti, Tirthankar Parshwanath, Padmavati Yakshi, Sarvahna Yaksha, Ashta Mangala are other idols.

    The pooja and other rituals are performed as per the Digambar Jain tradition.

    Location – Bidgalu village is located at a distance of 4 kms from Sargur, 11 kms from the taluk centre H.D.Kote and 54 kms from the district centre Mysuru.
