Kunigal

    History – The Chandranatha Swami temple built of stone is said to have been constructed in the year 1690 A.D. The maintenance and the administration of the temple is being looked after by the H.P.Nemirajaiah Jain Trust.

    How to Reach – Kunigal is a taluk centre located at a distance of 43 Kms from Tumkur, the district centre. It has trains from Bangalore, Shravanabelagola, Hassan and Mangalore.

    Main Deity – Stone idol of Bhagawan Chandranatha in the Kadgasana posture.
