Murukanalli

History – The Bhagawan Parshwanatha Swamy temple here is in a mutilated state and requires special attention from the people. Not much history is available about this place. Apart from the main deity we can find the a small collection of Jain idols at the temple. With just two Jain families in the village it has become very difficult for the local families to look after the temple. The famous Jain scholar Late Dr.M.D.Vasantharaj originated from this place.

How to Reach – Murukanahalli is situated at a distance of 2 Kms from Krishnarajapet taluk of Mandya district, people travelling to Krishnarajapet from Mysore side can find the temple on their right side. The temple is just around 300 meters away from the main road.

Main Deity – Black coloured idol of Bhagawan Parshwanatha in the kayotsarga posture.
