Amarsagar

    History – The idol of Bhagawan Adinatha was installed by Patva Sheth Himataramji bafna under the guidanceof Acharya Sri Jinamahendrasurishvarji in the year 1928 of the Vikram era. This idol is believed to belong to the times of King Samprati. This temple being constructed in two stories has a very rare collection of art and architectural carvings with the assembly hall being filled with full of carvings. The idols in this temple are said to be more than 1500 years old. This temple is situated at the middle of a pond. Amarsagar is one of the places of Jesamber group of five pilgrim centres.  There are two temples on the bank of the pond. This place is famous for the yellow stone that is popular world wide.

    How to Reach – The nearest railway station of Jesalmer is at a distance 3 kilometers. Bus service and private vehicles are available. It is convenient to go to the temple via the Jesalmer dharmashala. There are bhojanashalas also.

    Main Deity – 30 inches high, white coloured idol of Bhagawan Adinatha in the Padmasana posture.
