Double delight for Jain family on Parna Divas

    Ludhiana (Punjab), September 3, 2011: Parna Divas, special for the Jain community during which they observe fast, is made all the more special for industrialist Komal Jain and his family, as a national award was conferred upon him by President Pratibha Patil in Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, on Friday.

    Talking to TOI over a phone, Jain, who is chairman of Duke Fashions (India) Limited, said he and his family has been going to temple every day for all these eight days till Thursday. All the family members, including children and elders, joined in the prayers. “I am at Delhi for receiving the award and really happy that the award is being given to me on Parna Divas,” said Jain. His son Kuntal, director of the same company, said his wife Kirti and mother Kanchan are all enjoying the day and having double celebrations of Parna Divas and the award. “In the morning, porridge with hot milk and juice was enjoyed by every one in the family when the fast was broken.
