Kshamavani Celebrations at Shravanabelagola

    Shravanabelagola (Hassan District, Karnataka), September 30, 2012: As part of the conclusion of the 10 days Dashalakshana Parva celebrations & Kshamavani a procession was organised at Shravanabelagola. The procession included the silver chariot, Silver planquin (pallakki) & poorna kumbha Kalashas. The idol of Lord Ananthanatha was taken in the silver chariot, Tatvartha Sutra & Dhavala works were taken the silver planquin & the women carried the poorna kumbha Kalashas. The procession was taken to all the main roads of the town. The procession was inaugurated by His Holiness Swasti Sri Charukeerthi Bhattarakha Swamiji of the Shravanabelagola Jain Mutt at 10.30 am. Acharya 108 Sri Sudeshsagarji Maharaj, Upadhyaya 108 Sri Nijananda Muni Maharaj, Muni 108 Sri Jinasena Maharaj & other Jain ascetics graced the celebrations. Latter on Maha abhisheka to the Sahasrakuta Jinabimba was conducted from 2.00 pm onwards. – Jain Heritage Centres News Service
