Mahamasthakabhisheka from today

    Venur (Belathangady Taluk, Dakshina Kannada District, Karnataka), January 27, 2012: With the Indraprathishte, Thorana Muhurtha, Vimana Shuddi, Nandi Mangalaghi and other religious rituals, the Mahamasthakabhisheka (anointing) of 35 feet tall monolithic statue of Bahubali, situated on the banks of river Phalguni in Venoor will commence from Saturday.

    An attractive stage has been prepared for the programme. An exhibition ground which can accommodate 280 stalls in the venue. Separate stage has been created for cultural programmes.

    Brahmi Yuvathi Mandala in Venoor, Bahubali Yuvajana Sangha members are engaged in decorating the Venoor town.

    An attractive peeta has been created for Janmabhisheka Kalyana in front of Sri Shanthinatha Swamy Basadi.

    On the special invitation extended by Moodbidri Charukeerthi Bhattaraka Swamiji, Digambara Jain Association (USA) President Kumar Shaha will be visiting Venoor on Saturday.

    A special pooja was held at Sri Parshwanath Basadi for the success of Mahamastakabhisheka on Friday. The special pooja  was attended by Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari D Veerendra Heggade, V Dhananjay Kumar, Dr Padmaprasad Ajila and Shirthadi Samrajya. – News Courtesy: Deccan Herald
