Balambida

    History – This temple being an ancient one was recently renovated. On the back side wall of the temple we can find an inscription of 1145 AD that describes the existance of aParshwanatha Basadi here.

    This temple has the idol of bhagwan Sri Shambavanatha made of black stone as the main God, on the right and left of the idol we can see the carvings of Trimukha Yaksha and Pragnapthi Yakshi. We can also find the black coloured idol of Chouvisa tirthankara, bhagwan Parshwanatha and Panchparameshti.

    How to Reach – This place is very near to Hubli. One can visit this place by staying at Hubli.

    Main Deity – 5 feet high idol of Bhagwan Shambavanatha in the Kayotsarga posture.
