Pethan

    History – Previously called as ‘Parthisthan’ Pethan is one of the  Digamabar jain Atisay Kshetra. The ancient name od this place was ‘Partisthan’. The black colored idol of the main deity is made of sandstone and is very ancient. The idol was polished in 1964. Jains and people from other religions come here to fulfill their wishes.The boarding and lodging facilities are available in the dharmashala.

    How to Reach – This place is on the banks of the River Godavari and is at a distance of 51 Kms to south of Aurangabad in Maharastra.

    Main Deity – Idol of Bhagwan Munisuvrata.
