Sankighatta

    History – This temple of Bhagawan Mahavira is very ancient and is said to be constructed arround 1528 A.D. this temple has the metal idol made of bhagawan Mahavira as the main diety. Along with this we can also find the idol of Brahmadeva. Devotees from different parts of the state visit this place and offer special prayers to Lord Brahmadeva. This temple is being maintained by Mahavira Yuvaka Sangha.

    How to Reach – Shankigatta is situated in the Magadi taluk of Bangalore district. There are good bus facilities to this place from Magadi and Bangalore.

    Main Deity – Metal idol of Bhagawan Mahavira.
