Ahmedabad (Gujarat), August 21, 2011: Police arrested a resident of Kalupur for abusing a Jain acharya and assaulting his disciples in Doshiwadani Pol on Friday night. However, the accused, identified as Ronak Shah, was released on bail on Saturday.

Yogratna Vijay and Mokshratna Vijay, disciples of Acharya Abhaydev Surishwarji, from a Jain upashray at Doshiwadani Pol, lodged a complaint with Kalupur police that Shah had assaulted them.

The complainants alleged that Shah had first abused them and then had beaten them up. When their guru rushed to the spot, he too was abused. Shah, a resident of Malini Pol, was later arrested by the cops. – News Courtesy: Times News Network
