    History – This temple being constructed during the 12th century by the Hoysala’s is very ancient. it was renovated recently and the pratisht? mahótsava of the newly renovated temple was conducted on the 17th, 18th and 19th April, 2002  under the guidance of His Holiness Swasti Sri Charukeerthi Bhattarakha Swamiji the pontiff of the Shravanabelagola Jain Mutt. Along with the idol of Bhagaw?n Sh?nthin?tha we can also find an attractive idol of Goddess Padm?vathi in this temple.

    The Jain Samaj over here is very small with just five families. The Jain Samaj at Hassan supports the activities of the Jain Samaj. Just besides the temple a small community hall (Dharmashala) that can accommodate around 150 to 200 people with dining hall has been constructed recently. This will be used by the Jain samaj for conducting religious gatherings and family functions.

    How to Reach – Shanthigrama is at a distance of 13 Kms from H?ssan and 32 Kms from Channar?yapatna. Good bus and cab facilities are available to this place from Hassan and Channarayapatna. The village is situated just besides the main road on the way to Channarayapatna from Bengal?ru along the Bengaluru – Mangaluru National Highway.

    Nearest Airport – Bengaluru International Airport, at a distance of 205 Kms.
    District Centre – Hassan, at a distance of 13 Kms.

    Accommodation facilities are available at the Community Hall besides the temple. However, it is advisable to stay at either Hassan or Shravanabelagola.
