Indi

    History – Among the two Jain temples found at Indi the of Bhagawan Adinatha constructed in the year 1642 A.D. is the oldest. It has the stone idol of Bhagawan Adinath in the padmasana as the main deity. The other temple is dedicated to Bhagawan Mahavir. The exact date of construction of this temple is not known, this temple was renovated in the year 1990. This temple is also called as Ratnatraya Basadi.

    How to Reach – Indi is situated at a distance of 51 Kms from the district head quarter of Bijapur and has good transport facilities from Bijapur and other parts of Karnataka. The Indi Railway station is situated at a distance of 6 Kms to the south east.

    Main Deity – Stone idols of Bhagawan Adinath and Mahavir in the padmasana.
