Idarguchi

    Idarguchi houses an ancient Digambar Jain temple dedicated to Tirthankar Chandranath/Chandraprabhu. This is a 900 years old ancient Jain temple in the Gadhinglaj taluk, Kolhapur district, Maharashtra. It has a Garbagriha, Sukhanasi and Navaranga. The Navaranga houses attractively carved pillars.

    Renovation of the Ancient Sri Chandraprabhu Swamy Digambar Jain Temple at Idarguchi has been taken up for reconstruction.
    A Temple reconstruction committee has been constituted and registered by the name Shri 1008 Bhagwan Chandraprabhu Tirthankar Digambar Jain mandir Idaraguchhi vide registration number A-4619/ Kolhapur dated 13/06/2019 at the Assistant Charity Commissioner’s office, Kolhapur.
    The estimated cost of the reconstruction is about Rs. 36 lakhs and work for the same have started. Since this ancient Jain temple urgently needs repair lest we lose our rich heritage, we make an appeal to you to provide financial support for the reconstruction of this temple so as to enable us to preserve our ancient heritage.
