Varkhana

    History – This place is said to have been a very prosperous city. Merchants of Shrimalpur renovated this place during the period of king Kumbha. The idol of Varkana Parshvanath is very ancient. This idol was found in the ground to a shepard. In the year 1211 of the Vikram era, this temple was build and the idol installed in it. The last renovation was done in the year 1981 of the Vikram era and the idol was reinstalled in the year 2014 of the Vikram era. A big fair is held on the tenth day of the dark half of the month of Madsar every year.

    How to Reach – Rani, the nearest railway station, is 3 Kilometers and Falna is at distance of 20 kilometers from Varkhana. Boarding and lodging facilities are available at this place.

    Main Deity – One foot high, white coloured idol of Bhagawan Parshvanath in the Padmasana Posture.
