    History – Vallimalai is famous for the rock carvings. We can find many rock carvings at this place belonging to the 8th and 9th century AD. The carvings include stories related to Jainism and images of almost all the Tirthankaras. The rock-cut carving of Yakshi Shrutha Devi is very attractive.
