Aaglod

    History – Aaglod is a place of Sashan Dev Manibhadra Swami. There are three temples dedicated to Manibadhra Swami. Lots of devotees visit this place to worship Manibadhra Swami.

    How to Reach – This place is situated at a distance of 12 Kms from Vijapur. Good bus facilities are available to this place.

    Temple Name – Sri Vasupujya Tirthankar Jain Temple.

    Main Deity – Nearly 5 feet high white coloured idol of Tirthankar Vasupujya in the Padmasana posture.

    Temple History – The ruined old temple in Aaglod was renovated under the guidance of his holiness Acharya Shrimed Vijaybahuvansurisvarji in the year 2041 of the Vikram ear. This temple has an area measuring 130ft long and 82 ft. board. The top of the main spire of the temple is at an height of 53 ft. from the ground level. The idol of Bhagawan Adinatha is installed in the cellar of the original temple. Besides this we can also find the idols of Gautamswami and Goddess Padmavatidevi, these are installed in separate small temples with in the complex of the main temple.

    Temple Name – Sri Manibhadravir Jain temple.

    Temple Type – Shwetambar Derasar.

    Temple History – The miraculous headless trunk of Manibahdravir was installed in the year 1733 of the Vikram era. It is said that his Holiness Acharya Shantisomsuriji Maharaj Saheb observed a fast of 121 days at this place in order to make the Manibhadravir appear here and for the prosperity of the Jain religion and there by increasing the importance of this tirth.
