Angadi

    History – This place has closely association with the Hoysala kings. it is stated that the King Sal was given the title of Hoysala by Muni Sudutt at this place.

    We can find the Vasanthikamma (Padmavathi) temple here. The idol of Vasantikamma is made of clay and is about 1000 years old. Very near to the Vasantika temple the Neminatha temple is found. This temple is being situated on a small hillock in the forest. The idol of Neminatha is about 8 feet high and is made of black stone. We can also find the Ratantraya basdi (1050 AD) at this place. The idols of Bhagwan Arahnath- Bhagwan Mallinath and Bhagwan Munisuvarta are installed in the sanctum sanctorum this temple. The idol of Yakshi Kushmanadani is also very attractive.

    How to Reach – This place is at a distance of 23 Kms from Bellur along the Udgere – Sakleshpur road.

    Main Deity – Idol of Bhagwan Neminatha.
