Venur (Dakshina Kannada District, Karnataka), January 29, 2012: The Mahamasthakabhisheka rituals to Lord Bahubali will be conducted on February 1, 2012 from 8.00 am to 11.00 am. The idol will be anointed by water (Jalabhisheka with 54 Kalashas) followed by the Panchamrutha abhisheka. Sri V Dhananjaya Kumar, the working president of the event announced this during a religious gathering here at Venur. He further mentioned that the organising commitee decided to conduct the event during day at the behest of Acharya 108 Sri Gunadharanandiji Maharaj as the ascetics & tyagis will be not be able to witness the event when conducted at night.
Kesha Loach Function – The Kesha Loach function of Acharya 108 Sri Sudeshsagarji Maharaj will be held on February 1 at 3.00 pm. During the event Acharya Sri and other assistants will pluck Acharyaji’s hairs in person as a part of the Jaina tradition. – Jain Heritage Centres News Service
